Terms & Conditions & Privacy Policy

Note: More information answering your questions can be found on my FAQs page.

DO REFER TO BOTH PAGES AS I AM NOT ABLE TO RESPOND TO INDIVIDUAL MESSAGES ~ I am one person running this business and receive many messages each week, often about questions which are answered here. I need to focus my energy on delivering the lovely events. The answers to your questions will most likely be provided  here or on the FAQs page.

By booking onto any walk you are agreeing to my terms & conditions. You are also agreeing to all points outlined in my disclaimer which will be emailed to you along with specific event information, including directions. You must sign and return this disclaimer to me before attending any event. I withhold the right to refuse you joining an event if you have not previously signed and emailed me the disclaimer. This absolutely has to be by the day before the event.

In order to obtain a refund:

In order to obtain a refund, I must receive notice of cancellation a minimum of one month prior to the date of the event. I will retain a £5 administration fee for each walk booking (£5 for each person booked onto a walk). No exceptions will be made to this policy.

If you are unable to attend an event for any reason:

Why not gift your booking to a friend or relative that would like to come on a walk? If you decide to do this, you must ask them to contact me at info@goforaging.co.uk to let me know you have gifted them your place(s) on a walk/walks.

If you wish to swap to another walk or course from when you are already booked on, I require one month’s notice without exception. Please do not contact me requesting that I make an exception for you.

Gift vouchers:

If you wish to swap to another walk or course from when you are already booked on, I require one month’s notice without exception. Please do not contact me requesting that I make an exception for you. I will not be able to respond to such requests.

Swapping to another walk or course will still be subject to terms and conditions around validity of gift vouchers and subject to availability of walks during the period in which gift vouchers are valid. In short, if you book on a walk you’re best sticking to the date you booked to. Unless that is you get in touch a long time in advance as walks often sell out early and as the year goes on there are less and less options.

The person who gifted you your gift voucher(s) was emailed information about gift voucher validity and how and when to contact Go Foraging to redeem your gift voucher(s). They were asked to forward this information to you.

Gift vouchers may be used as payment towards Go Foraging walks. These are listed with a payment button by the event description. For walks which cost above this amount the difference can be made up, payable either before the event or on the day, by arrangement through email correspondence with Go Foraging.  Event places are subject to availability.

Please note: Mushroom walk vouchers are valid until the end of the year they are purchased in, or, if bought between October – December, they will be valid until the end of the following year.

Plant walk vouchers will be valid for 8 months from date of purchase.

Please see my walks calendar before purchasing gift vouchers to see which walks still have spaces! They will have FULLY BOOKED written by them if there are no spaces left. Please do not ask if you can use gift vouchers for a date which falls after the expiry date. It is unlikely that I will be adding more dates for plant foraging walks after August each year. One or two more dates for plant walks sometimes get added during spring and summer. Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for third party events (where booking is through a third party).

Where there is a price difference between vouchers and the cost of a walk, a bank transfer will be required for the remaining amount. On request, I will send details to make this payment.
